We have lost another member of our class. Chip Crail lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. We were close friends growing up going back to our days at Richland Elementary. He was the first friend I made there. Until I met Chip I did not even know there were other kids in the neighborhood. For a long time, Chip, Duncan Aiken, and I were inseparable. Chip got me interested in ROTC at White Station and was instrumental in my success. I had not spoken to Chip in a couple of years and did not know that he had cancer, so his passing has come as a shock to me. I will miss you Chipper.
Yeah he was a nice guy. I went to Campus School for five years, but went to Richland for third grade. We had homeroom together in Mrs. Greaney's room. Sad to hear about this. May the Lord bless his family with peace.
